The William Hill World Darts Championship Trophy
The William Hill World Darts Championship Trophy” First on our list is the William Hill World Darts Championship Trophy. The Globe piece is a prime example of a Metal Spinning spun by our specialist Spinners here at Excell.
The 25th World Darts Championship took place late December 2017 – January 2018 and was won by Rob Cross defeating Phil Taylor 7-2 in the final with the prize money for the tournament a record high of £1.8m, with the winner receiving £400,000.
War Memorial Restoration
War Memorial Restoration for WW2 Muslim War dead. We took part in the restoration of a World War One Muslim war dead memorial site, more specifically the Finial design. Although complex in design, requiring nine different tools to achieve the desired design it was famous for, we managed to complete it, and within the deadline given.

Assembly Room Lampshades
Assembly Rooms Lampshades featured in Nando’s In Nando’s you might have observed their lampshades, but you may be too busy getting stuck into your dinner to notice.
But they were actually produced and Spun by our metal spinners after receiving a bespoke order from Assembly Rooms, a London based design studio who have an award winning Interior Design practice which has been running since 2003.
You will recognise that these lampshades have also featured on our social media platforms such as our Instagram page @excellmetalspinning along with other designs. You can read all about it here in our case study. Metal Spinnings are a common sight, from basic utensils to components in engine parts We produce the lampshades currently featuring in some of River Island’s retail outlet upon receiving a job order from Prolight Design. You can still see them in London like the ones in the image provided.
Cambridge Clock Pendulum
The Ball piece pendulum for the famed Cambridge Clock, found at street level on the outside of the Taylor Library at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, is also one of many Spinnings we produced here at Excell. The Corpus clock was unveiled in September 2008 by Cambridge physicist Stephen Hawking and was Time’s Best inventions of 2008 These are but to name a few of the many projects that we have taken part in.
